Axel Hugh and Family

I have been gone for a while. Sometimes you need a break, but my phone is full of the excitement of the summer. This post is going to have a lot of photos so get ready. This summer has been one of ups, downs, struggles, triumphs, sorrows, joys...there is a list a mile long. I am not going to go into the sad only the happy wonderful things of our summer.

I shall start with the joy of Axel Hugh Rigby. Our sweet boy was born on July 22nd. Somedays I still cannot believe that my girl is a mum. Not only that how amazing she is at being a mum. Her labor and delivery was amazing (she may not think that but it was) and her recovery is going well. She forgets she is only 3 months out from having sweet Axel, but she is ding well.
Brenda and her boy about an hour after he was born. She looked so great! She is a wonderful girl. I am so damned proud of her.
One of my very favorites, Brenda so happy to see her dad with Axel. Shane was one proud Daddy that day.

This is one of my all time favorite. Shane holding his grandson. His name is Grandpappy. I am Grandmama.

Laura and Makayla are so taken with Axel. In these photos Axel is only a month or so old.

This boy is so much fun. He is starting to coo and laugh and make funny faces now. When he is coming to visit everyone fights over who gets to hold him first. Axel has been such a calming force in our home. Brenda and Skyler are the best parents. The first little bit was tough but they certainly are making their way as parents. They are so great and wonderful. I am so proud of them and the love they have for each other and for Axel.

Here are Axel and I a few days ago. He is growing so much and so handsome. I love having him hang out with us.

While we were admiring our sweet boy we had the opportunity to get some wood in for their little family. Whilst there i had fun finding all the critters i could.  Snakes, preying mantis, moths whatever it was i found it. We had a great time.

My boys playing with chain saws, big guys. I am so proud of them. They are growing so much and so fast. They are strong, tall and talented. They are a lot like their dad, i couldnt be prouder of them.

I always have to have a photo of my man at work. We had a bit of a rough road this summer. Together we went through a trial so deep and long, at the end we found a love so strong....i would rather not even talk about it. Needless to say I am so grateful for the life we have together. Finding ourselves again has brought more joy to us than we could ever imagine. I am so grateful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ as well. Without placing God at the center of our marriage we would be lost. I am so in love with Shane, he is amazing.

Our summer did not end there....its only the beginning. But Axel is a HUGE part of it. Our family has become such an amazing unit of people. Watching them all grow and become is glorious.....They are all a joy to watch and be around. Now onward to the next bunch of blog posts....
